Psychological Assessment
For when you need to understand what has happened at work.
Something at work has affected you, and you're not sure what it is or what to do about it. Maybe you've been worn down over time. Maybe something specific happened. You might be wondering whether it's serious, whether work caused it, and whether it counts as an injury.
This
assessment
is a way to find out. In one session, we look at what's going on and how it relates to your work, so you know where you stand before you decide anything.
What the assessment tells you
A clear picture of what you're experiencing and how it relates to your work. Something you and your GP can use to understand your situation and work out what to do next.
Not everyone who is struggling with work has a psychological injury and the rules around what qualifies for compensation have tightened in recent years. This assessment won't decide that question for you, but it will give you a clear, honest account of where things stand, so your next step is an informed one.
You might be considering this where
- Work has worn you down, and you're not coping the way you used to.
- Something happened at work, bullying, a traumatic event, harassment, and you haven't been the same since.
- You're wondering whether you have a workers compensation claim, but you're not ready to start one.
- Your GP or lawyer has suggested a
psychological assessment.
What this is, and isn't
- This is an early clinical assessment, conducted by a registered psychologist, for you and your GP.
- It isn't a permanent impairment (WPI) assessment, and it doesn't decide your entitlement to compensation.
- It gives you a clear clinical picture. Your GP, and a lawyer if you need one, take it from there.
