For individuals

When work or study has caught up with you

Burnout that hasn't lifted with rest. Stress that follows you home. A difficult workplace, a hard event, the weight of a demanding career or course. When the usual ways of coping have stopped working, that's the point this practice is built for.

You'll work with Dr Candice Quinn, an AHPRA-registered psychologist who specialises in the impact of work, study and career on mental health. Therapy for when something is interfering with daily life; coaching for when you're oriented toward moving forward. Often the two overlap, and a registered psychologist can hold both.

Specialist Workplace Psychology

If your workplace offers a general Employee Assistance Program, this is different. An EAP is arranged and paid for by your employer, usually caps you at a handful of sessions, and schedules you with the next available counsellor. Here, you see the same registered psychologist throughout for as long as the work genuinely needs, and guided by your choices. Therapy sessions are provided under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative, funded by the Commonwealth Government, and delivered in relationship with your GP to support your long-term health and wellbeing.

The practice is independent of your employer, and it specialises in work-related psychology rather than general counselling. What you discuss is yours.

Private Coaching

We also offer private coaching, where the focus is entirely your own goals: a new career direction, separation from an employer, retirement, or another form of transition. Unlike organisational coaching, which requires alignment with an employer, this is for you, about you, and about your future.

Work-related Psychological Injury

Where you have experienced work-related harm: a psychological injury connected to bullying, a critical incident, or sustained unreasonable pressure, we offer assessment and treatment, including where a workers compensation claim is involved. We have accredited provider status with iCare New South Wales, WorkCover Queensland and ComCare.

Getting Started

You can book without a referral. To access Medicare rebates under Better Access, you'll need a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan. Your GP can arrange this. For therapy sessions you may also be able to access rebates from your private health insurer. We have consult rooms in the Sydney CBD and Surry Hills, and are also available by telehealth.
